You can download version of flash 2.0 from here.  This version of flash only supports a single user vocabulary database at a time.  To select a vocabulary file, there is a configuration menu item. For example, let us say that you have the full set of 4 vocabulary files mywords-gb.pdb mywords-b5.pdb, mywords-16.pdb and mywords-20.pdb. When you select the new vocabulary, you should just enter "mywords" and nothing more.

4/27/02: Update to version 2.01.  Changes include:

Fixed bug where PalmOS could crash when the Find feature is used while alternate vocabulary is in use.
Add scrollbar to definition textfield to support longer text strings.

7/15/02: Update to version 2.02.  Changes include:

Fixed to support smaller width glyphs (for example '(').
Fixed find feature to use the currently selected vocabulary db.
Fixed bug whereby flash would crash if there were a very small number of entries in the vocabulary file.

8/25/02: Update to version 2.11 (beta release).  Changes include:

Fixed to support having more than one vocabulary database on hand, without having to keep re-entering the names of the databases.  Some of the settings (min/max lesson) that are saved are tied to the database.
Support a "Show Pinyin" and "Show Definition" mode, where either Pinyin or Definition is the part of the word that is initially displayed, and the buttons can be used to display the other parts of the word.
Support using the 4 application keys on the palm in addition to the buttons on the screen.

I still have an even older version of the flashcards program available here.  It lacks support for user vocabulary files, and it does not support the larger fonts.  It probably isn't of as much use, but it remains here for users who are having difficulty with the new version.

In addition, this version requires CJKOS.  You can download the application from here.

Here is a picture that shows what it looks like:

As you can see, the Chinese characters that are displayed are smaller and harder to read.  For the older Windows version of the flashcard program, click here.
